Emily is a registered clinical psychologist with doctoral level qualifications and over fifteen years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults in both hospital settings and private practice. She has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, eating disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, and disorders of childhood. Emily is also experienced in providing counselling for relationship difficulties and fertility issues. Emily uses a predominantly cognitive behavioural therapy approach to modify unhelpful thoughts and behaviours and promote optimal functioning. Emily is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), a treatment typically used to treat trauma reactions. Emily has a special interest in women’s health and is a treating psychologist with the Kardinia Health pelvic pain and endometriosis clinic.
