Clinic Background

Persistent pelvic pain and endometriosis are complex conditions that can significantly impact the health and wellbeing of females/people assigned female at birth.

In 2023 the Federal Government committed to 3 years of funding for 22 primary care clinics around Australia to better support timely access to diagnosis and multidisciplinary care for these complex conditions. Given it’s pre-existing commitment to sexual and reproductive health, Kardinia Health was excited to be granted this opportunity. This funding has now been extended for a further 2 years (until mid 2028) and a further 11 clinics established around Australia in recognition of the ongoing need for all Australians to have access to quality care.

Kardinia Health is utilising this funding support to provide a new service model – focusing on nurse support, long GP appointments, multidisciplinary support, and group education. Please see our services page for more information.
